SYNOPSIS

“‘69 (La Bobine Magique)” tells the story of Anthony, a brilliant scientist with the passion for music, living in 1960s Italy, more precisely in Bologna.
He is able to discover the secrets of teleportation and nuclear fission, but he is not able to make order in his sentimental life: divided between his wife and a rubinesque burlesque dancer, lives fighting against Catholic morale and prejudice towards his scientific innovations.
The political powers try to stop him and his experiments in every way, since they menace the social order, being in contrast with the beliefs and rules imposed by the religious regulations, and dangerous for the established business relationships between the major figures of the government, all political parties, private companies and religious powers.
Terrorist attacks, shady killers with shotguns, snipers…everything is thrown at our hero, that under his impeccable mustache keeps his smile intact through every situation.

“American skin covers this continent. The people; the landscape: a surface upon which our eyes play curious, lustful, tragic, and loving. A body of so many histories and so many origins covered by a single American skin. Peeling back the surface exposes the unique, miniature stories of individual cells in the corpus, and the collective story of a country’s complexion.

In summer, 2010, photographer Diana Scheunemann undertook an eight week road trip clockwise around the USA, starting and ending in New York. The aim of the trip was to photograph, film and explore the multiple facets of American identity from Diana’s unique perspective. The people that she met, filmed and photographed en route have become part of a project that she calls Love American Skin which she is presenting online, in gallery exhibitions and in a feature length film with the same title.”

Alongside party starting rapper Hot Rod and crooning soul journeyman Governor, the Latin beauty is looking to showcase her Mariah Carey-influenced vocals over pop-friendly vibes. We think she can touch the sky. The album is entitled “November Sky (11/11/11).”

New York Film Academy Graduate Gian Franco Morini has been hired by G-Unit Records to write, direct and edit music videos. His music video for “November Skies” by R&B songstress Lea was just released exclusively on AOL. It was also presented on Thanksgiving day on Pix11 News. WATCH THE FULL VIDEO HERE.

The video was shot at rapper 50 Cent’s Mansion in Connecticut and at the Queensbridge Houses in Queens. Comments Lea on the shoot, ““One of the funniest moments was during the scene where the actress is knocking on the door. On her first take, she was banging on the door so hard it sounded like she was going to break it down. We all thought we were going to have to explain to 50 how we broke a door in his house! After that first take she took it down a notch and nailed it.”

Gian Franco Morini first discovered his passion for music videos when encouraged by a faculty member at the New York Film Academy. He later went on to win several awards for his thesis music video - learn more about Gian’s journey here.
